RECENT REDEVELOPMENT
Domain – West Hollywood
Domain is designed to reinforce existing context through four key measures. First, a large setback provided ample sidewalk space for pedestrian movement, retail mechandizing, and sidewalk dining as well as landscaping to help mitigate the scale of the building. Second, a three-story protal and plaza strategially placed as a visual connection from the historic Formosa Cafe to the Hollywood hills breaks down the facade scale and opens communal life to the street. Third, the introductoin of smaller scale massing along residential streets. Fourth and final, the gradual stepping down of the building, trasitioning to adjacent smaller scale multi-family properties.
